31 Years on the Water — and Still at It
I started out in 1995 as a co-op student at Port Earl Marine and stayed on as a full technician through 2008. After a year detailing boats in Virginia Beach, I came back home to the Blue Water. In 2020 I launched LMB Marine, and I've been running it ever since.
That's three decades of hands-on work on the same waters you run. When you hire me, you get one experienced technician who's seen just about everything these engines can do — and knows how to fix it.
- 31 years of hands-on marine experience
- Fully insured — liability coverage on every job
- Active locally in the Port Huron Boaters community
- Based in Smith Creek, serving the shoreline

Experience
Guaranteed for the Season
I stand behind my work. If a repair fails for the same issue in the same season, I come back and make it right at no charge — the only exception being a part you supplied that didn't hold up.
Covering the Blue Water Shoreline
Port Huron is home base, and I travel up and down the coast to keep boaters running. If you're near one of these, I can most likely come to you.

Dave SquiresFrequently Asked Questions
Do you really come to my boat?
Yes. I bring the tools and parts to your slip, lift, or driveway. Most services can be done on-site — no trailering, no haul-out line.
Which engine brands do you service?
MerCruiser, Mercury Outboards, Volvo Penta, OMC, Honda, Yamaha, Johnson and Evinrude — both I/O and outboard. Running something else? Ask.
What's your service area?
Port Huron plus Harrison Township, Grosse Pointe, Lexington & Lexington Harbor, St. Clair, Algonac, Marine City and Lakeport. Nearby but not listed? Reach out.
Is your work guaranteed?
Yes — most work is guaranteed for the season. If the same issue returns that season, I fix it free. The exception is a part you supplied yourself.
Can you work during the off-season?
Definitely. Winter is ideal for bigger jobs like repowers, powerhead work and electrical projects, so you're ready to splash on day one.
